Trying to edit HDR files.

Sat Nov 27, 2021 6:36 am

I been wanting to edit and do some comparison, i downloaded davinci resolve. (with the little research is one of the few that supports hdr editing)

When i set it up, the videos i import to it. Says media offline. I did some digging. Some how. resolve doesn't read AMD AMF H10 encoded videos, Everything else it does. But here is the thing. With the others the colors dont look Acurrate at all.

Is there a setting or something i need to do to fix this . The help will be appreciated. Thanks

DaVinci Resolve does not support HEVC format which is used to encode HDR videos.

To be clear, the problems are regional. When a video is uploaded to a service or app, it immediately degrades (I can see it on my screen before sending anything).
Confusion is increased by the fact that I've previously edited HDR videos with LG's Quick Video Editor without encountering any problems. All I want to do is be able to share these HDR videos. Any solution is greatly appreciated.
