Subtitle support

Sun Apr 22, 2012 10:37 pm

Hi. I'd like to know if Mirillis products support subtitle (for example, .ass format) which have customized embedded font in terms of styles, position, effect, etc. Let's compare these two, Splash Pro Ex (above) and other player (below).

Mirillis products have no ability to play embedded font, thus it's only show typical subtitle through Mirillis internal setting.

Other player can play fancy subtitle and even karaoke through subtitle file itself.

Splash player doesn't support it. Try another one.

Subtitle formats can seem pretty convoluted. It may seem easiest to just choose whatever format is most popular or universally, instead of the one that’s just right for what you plan to do with the subtitles.
