I really need help

I just bought a new laptop and I cant get any audio to play over my videos im recording. If I record just an audio track, the sound will work but the videos i record are completely silent. I have messed with every single setting and have reinstalled the program and I cant get it to work. I have tested the mic and it is working as well. My videos dont have any game sound as well. I have been trying to get this to work for 2 hours now and Im really discouraged. I have an alien-ware 17 r5 with windows 10. My old laptop recorded things just fine but not this one. I bought this laptop just to record game play videos at high settings and now I cant even get them to upload to you tube. When I go to record I make sure microphone is on, sound is turned on but when I go back to watch the video its completely silent. Please someone help me.
