Best FPS resolution for desktop capture?

Fri Nov 13, 2020 8:49 am

I have a problem (who doesn't, right?)

In the following configuration:

Resolution 1920 x 1080 (Fullscreen monitor)

720p resolution video capture

Video 20' = 3 GB!

Please, how many FPS should I place in Mirillis Action!

Try using the resolution 4 to 3 and recoed in 120 fps, that could help.

Maybe try to compress it later in video editing software...

The aspect ratio does not matter at all in terms of FPS numbers. People playing in 4:3 ratios also tend to crank the resolution much lower as well, so maybe that's where the idea that it has better performance comes from.

Multiply a resolution's vertical pixels by its horizontal pixels. The larger the product, the larger the FPS hit will be. The final number (area) is all that matters for effect on performance.
