microphone problems

Sat Oct 06, 2012 9:14 pm

hello :D.
I been using this software for 3 mouths now and its amazing, But 5 days ago when i was recording a game play to put on my channel it did not record my microphone so i thought i did something wrong. But after redoing my video ( 3 times ) still nothing. It only picks up the game play sound but not me.

If anyone could share some info on the matter it would be very helpful
Thanks

Could you attach also a screenshot from your video recording tab?

You record on 2 channenls. If you send it directly to YT, it can not see 2nd channel, and if you use editing software it also can not recognize. You should try some video editing software or record on one audio channel.

well i have never changed the settings because it worked fine and everything went where i wanted it to. For some strange reason it just stopped recording the microphone.

But i did just try what you said and it had no effect, I am trying out audio software for free. But i would like this to work again then i don't have to edit and play around with it more then i have to, plus action is better for audio then the other software i think :)

But thanks your your input

Try VirtualDub, and look if it detects 2 audio tracks. (audio/source audio and look if are 2 audio streams) Try record audio with only microphone and test if it records microphone.

Did you tested only audio recording? Do it record microphone?

Hi, we are investigating problem and have some questions:
1) Did problem started to occur after Action! upgrade or after any other software or drivers installation?
2) Can you please try to set microphone audio device to "default" and try to record with this setting?
3) Does the problem occur in other games and in active desktop recording mode?
