Thu Dec 13, 2012 7:44 pm

I cant get this option to work for some reason. My voice is recorded if I uncheck that, with option checked the voice is not recorded.

You know that Action! player is playing only one audio track at time? If you want to switch it press "A".

The thing with "a" works, but running it with any other player doesnt play the sound also. While editing clip with PowerDirector, i cant see the voice graph too.
One thing i noticed is when i start recording and then stop it, one video is recorded and saved but another recording is still running. (The timer in Action! video tab is still counting)

Maybe PowerDirector is not supporting video files with two audio paths. You can easily separate it via free software like Virtual Dub. Just open your avi in VD, select from the top menu Audio, then Source audio, then choose Stream 2 (this is your microphone path). And then go to file select Save WAV and choose the file destination, press save and now you have your second audio path seperated from the file for further use.

Im am now using the above recommend methods to get separate audio and be able to make my mono microphone play in the center by copy pasting the audio from one channel to the other. I do appreciate your help but i have to say this isn't as elegant as dedicated "force microphone/auxiliary input to mono" option like there is in OBS. The biggest disadvantage of this is that i have to spend more time exporting audio, editing the audio, then re-importing just to get my microphone recording center when i rather spend it playing more games, or creating other content. Action! is near flawless but if you could implement a feature that allows mono microphone input recording without having to record it on a separate audio track then edit it, i would have no problem using action! exclusively
