Far Cry 3 Audi Desync

Fri Dec 14, 2012 10:22 pm

Hey everyone,

I've been recording commentary for Far Cry 3 and I ran into a pretty major audio desync. I've used Action! on Total War: Shogun 2, Medieval 2: Kingdoms, Saint's Row 3: The Third and other games with no issue. But for some reason in my first recording for this game there was about a two second delay between audio and actions.

I recorded in 30 fps, 720p and used the same settings into windows movie maker to export the video. I've taken the video down but I can put it back up if this is required. I'm still satisfied with the product and will use it for other games but I'll have to use Fraps with Far Cry 3 until I know this isn't a consistent issue or if it's just a game specific issue since it's new.

Thanks.

Ah, it's not just in this game.

When I play the recorded content it's perfectly synced however when I encode it to a more manageable size to be uploaded on Youtube. That is when there's an issue and it has an audio desync.

So the raw content is fine? Do you export it from Action! or from another editing software
