Action 1.12.2 recording in wrong resolution settings

Thu Jan 10, 2013 2:11 am

Hello, my name is Brunno and i have "discovered" this great software in the steam greenlight, and i have been using the trial version for some weeks, i couldn't wait for the steam release, so i've buy it here with you guys, but there's a little problem i've... :(

I have a samsung SyncMaster EX1920 widescreen monitor, who comes with a recommended/maximum resolution of 1366x728, and the some other few resolutions:

  • 1366x768 (original)
    1360x768 (makes the screen blurry)
    1280x728 (another blurry resolution)
    1024x768 (4x3 resolution)

So i have doing my recordings in using the "original" resolution on the video tab, but for my surprise, it didn't record the resolution i use (1366x768), but the one below (1360x768), i can't see the diference in the action! player, buy when i go edit the videos, it adds a green line on the right side of the video, another problem is that i cannot use another resolution (like 720p or below), because the monitor blacks out, shows no image (probably because it only supports the resolutions i have said before), and when i record the game using the 1360x768 resolution, the image, graphics and everything in my games become ugly and blurry, this is really annoying. :x

I have tested this on Skyrim, Sleeping Dogs, Counter Strike Global Offensive, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD, Left 4 Dead 2 and many others, all the same, i can only play/record in decent quality image using the original screen resolution (1366x768), this obliges me to export the video on a lowered 1280x720p resolution to remove the green strips (i use vegas 11), which, again, makes the image blurry (less, but still blurry [and not only in the game recording, but on desktop recording too]).

My question is:
There's a workaround for this until a official fix is release???

Here's some of my pc specs, probably could help you guys:

  • Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300
    Nvidia GT 430 1gb (dx11 with cuda)
    4gb RAM
    Windows 8 64 bits

Thanks guys for this really great software, except this, everything works perfectly fine (as far i have tested), waiting for the steam release. ;)

Could you contact our support team for that? This seems like an unusual behavior.
