Multiple display recording bug/glitch

I'm having issues when trying to record from only one monitor when on a multi-display setup.

It seems that Action! is rapidly switching between (active?) desktops when recording video.
I have tried changing the active desktop of Action! using the default shortcut F8 (even tried changing the shortcut to see if it makes any difference), but it does not work at all.

This even happens when trying to record video in the "active desktop region" option.

What is the issue here and how can it be fixed?

I was having this issue as well. One of the first things I always did was disable the HUD because it bothered me being there. It turns out that you need to have the HUD enabled to be able to switch the active desktop. You'll see it change by the HUD being lit blue for the active desktop. Using the shortcut to switch, you'll see the HUD lighting change as the active monitor changes. After doing this and testing recording, it works.
