Video Format etc.

They said a while ago, that an update allowed raw footage recorded to be edited in your standard 3rd party programs for video editing.
I've tried time and again, and I don't know how to get the .avi files to work with these programs, only .mp4s raw and exported will work.
Thanks for the help!

I switch between Sony Vegas Pro 10 and Adobe Premiere Pro CSS5.5.
Other than that, as expected, it's not even preview-able in standard media players like VLC; Other media players just play it as an audio file when I try to preview a raw video.

Both Sony Vegas and Adobe PP should work fine with Action! recordings. As for other video players they probably don't support the FICV video codec.

Is there some setting I should be changing? I took a quick video showing Adobe PP not accepting the .avi, but recognizing the .mp4, and they are both taken with the current version of Action!

Is there anything else that can cause this? Does the 3rd party software need an additional codec, or the Action! software need an update?
