Action! Software not recording

Hello! I have just bought the recording software Action! and I'm having a problem. I can't seem to record ANYTHING. I can screenshot, and mess around in the hud, but for all 3 options it literally just won't record. I've looked on google for the issue but it doesn't seem to be any posts about it.
