problem with streaming

Hi,

I just subscribed yesterday cos I wanted to try streaming to Twitch through Action!. I've been using Xsplit earlier and was getting a bit tired with it's poor performance so I wanted if Actions streaming was as smooth as it's recording.

I followed the tutorial for streaming to Twitch. I got the secret key and put it in, and the "Remaining subscription time" thing says 92 days, so it should work. However the Status thing only shows "Not connected" and when I try to stream it only starts recording instead (I unchecked the setting for recording while streaming cos I don't want it to record). It simply doesn't work at all. What am I doing wrong?

Also on a side note. I used to be able to record without any problems, but now suddenly Action crashes as soon as I stop record. It appears to record just fine to begin with, but as soon as I press F9 to stop, it crashes. Any suggestions?

Do you use Global server? Try switching to another server close to your location. It seems that there is a problem with Global.

Does that affect where I stream? Like if I choose a European server will I only be able to stream to Europe? And what does Global mean? It's still a server so it has to be somewhere in the world, right?

You can stream to the whole world. It's just a specified server. The farther away from you the worse connection you will get.
