Recording Mic in separate track?

Wed Nov 27, 2013 11:24 pm

So when I try to record gameplay audio and my mic on two different tracks it will work in the Action playback if I press "A" to switch tracks but when I try to use my editing software it will only use the gameplay audio and video. Is the Mic audio saved separately somewhere that I can add it in? I'm trying to do this because sometime I will get really good gameplay but it will have my girlfriend yelling at me about do the dishes or something like that in the background and I would rather voice over it but sometimes you need the live reactions in there. I use Windows Live Movie Maker for editing because I don't do any crazy stuff just basicly clipping the video. Anyone know how to help?

Separate audio track is stored in video files. I don't know if WLMM support files with more than one audio track. Have you tried extracting your microphone audio track with another software? Like VirtualDUB?
