Why no 3d recording ??

Fri Mar 07, 2014 6:27 pm

hello community

i have 2 questions for people in Action Mirillis team

first of all i would like to tell that Action is a very great recording software and also perfect for rendering

but this software needs to do 2 more things

Action mirillis is way better than Shadowplay , but shadowplay can do these 2 things that action can not do

first shadowplay can record MP4 1080 while Action can only do MP4 720 ( and yes my CPU does have HD Ggard i7 4770 K)

2nd , shadowplay can record 3d videos while Action can not do this and if i try to record while in 3d i get blue screen and whole system crash

here is a video revorded by shadowplay , its perfect in 3d

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNgxWSnqCOI

if shadowplay can do those 2 things then why not Action !!!

I also asked this a while ago. I assume u have Nvidia Control Panel in ur PC since u appear to be using a GTX GFX card. U can enable Intel Quick Sync (MP4) as an encoder for Action which can record up to "Original". Do as i did:

Go to ur Nvidia Control Panel and choose "3D-settings management" or something like that. In the main window, click on "program settings" and click on "add". Browse to ur Action directory and click on "Action" and hit "OK". If it came to the "Recently opened" window which comes up right after hitting "add" in the main window and it is highlighted, click "OK". Return to main window and it should be chosen as the program u want edit.

From there, click on the graphics usage option and choose "Integrated". Hit "Apply" and restart Action. U should now have another MP4 option enabled which is Intel Quick Sync in ur Action.

About 3D recording i don't know. But why would it be necessary?

Action! can record up to Full HD in MP4 format, but for computers that hardware supports Intel Quick Sync or AMD APP technology.

As for the second issue. This is not a real 3D.
