Recording Games at 1080p HD for Youtube

Wed May 14, 2014 5:11 pm

Allright, so I have looked this up for ever. I have followed a lot of peoples settings, while experimenting myself. I want to upload videos to youtube at 1080p HD. The game I play is called Firefall, and I play it on max graphics at 1920x1080. I want to be able to upload them at 1080p HD directly from Action! to Youtube if its possible, otherwise do I need another software? Thanks! It also seems to record everything on MP4 when I chose AVI anyways.

The raw file may be AVI but when exporting it changes to MP4 from what I have found. As far as I know you can upload directly to YouTube. MP4 is generally a smaller file from what I know which is why it may export to MP4.

You couldn't upload the raw AVI anyway, as the codec inside is proprietary of Mirillis; YouTube wouldn't be able to decode it. So either directly capture into MP4 (at lower resolution) or convert the AVI into MP4. :)

Mmake sure that LIVE streaming settings are not overwriting your recording settings. This situation occurs when "Enable Action! LIVE Streaming" option is checked.
