Strange Action ! behaviour

Sat May 24, 2014 9:32 pm

Hi there,

I have some issues with Action!.
I use the program for some time now, and never hadthis before.
I recently upgraded to Win 8.1 64 bit.

The problem is that when i capture, the game stutters. The framrate button says 60. But this is not the case.
When i stop the capture all goes well.

I did some troubleshooting and played with the settings.

I experience this problem with the following setting:

GameMode
Avi
Original
60FPS
Multicore

The problem is gone, when i change the FPS setting to 120FPS.
Capture in game and while playing replays goes very well.
Only the files are becomming very big ( 3 GB for 2 minutes ) And Action! can't playback the video.

The game i try to capture is Assetto Corsa

Sys;
Win 8.1 64 Bit
GTX760 2GB
16GB Ram
intel i7 3740

Hope someone can help me out.

120 fps video will always be bigger because there is a lot more of data to be stored in your video container. As for playback issue, it's not supported yet. You can play your video in Windows Media Player for example but it will be choppy since WMP also cannot handle such huge framerate.

Hi Radi,

Thanks for your reply.
I understand the 120FPS playback, and also why the files are so big.

But i used the capture with 60FPS without any problems.
I was hoping this was a known issue after an update or in combination with Windows 8.1
