I have this strange issue where I start recording, but after 3 seconds the recording stops automatically and leaves no file on disk. I can see the action! tray icon switch to (R) and the application GUI indicate recording start, but the in-game hud does not indicate that the recording has started, and after 3 seconds on the spot, every time, it stops; and leaves no trace of the recording.
This is what happens most of the time, but every once in a while (1 in 10 tries or so) it will start to record normally when i press the hotkey (F8), and it will record perfectly. I have tested a few different settings and recording file-format doesn't matter, size doesn't matter, framerate doesn't matter, File location doesn't matter. It's not a codec problem either as it records and plays back both picture and sound correctly when it actually works.
Now, my setup is a bit unusual as I'm running with a dual-screen setup (2560x1440 + 1920x1200) running on a GTX780, and added to that i have added an invisible screen using the intel i5-2500 so I can access the quicksync codec for hardware accelerated recording (as per the tutorial here: https://mirillis.com/en/products/tutori ... s.html#top).
The game I'm trying to record is The Secret World running windowed borderless in 2560x1440, set to 1080p video resolution @60fps.
Previous versions of action! did not have this "trigger" problem. What has changed?
