connection with remote server failed

every time i go to upload a video to youtube it gets 100% then says upload failed and connection with remote server failed. i have uploaded videos before using this but the other day it started action up. can you please help me?

Do you have merged your YouTube account and Google account? Make sure that your YouTube account is set as default.

and now it keeps telling me to select a different recording folder

it wont upload to youtube kept saying couldnt connect to server and upload failed. now it says choose a diff record folder (which you cant) saved some of the videos onto a bradnew( bought it yesterday) external hard drive. it wiped it completley and corrupted it cant even restore to factory. it acts like the videos are still saved to my harddrive there taking up space buut there are no videos no folders nothing.
