Not recording properly, mic wont work. HELP!!!!!

My specs are as follows:

OS: Windows 8.1
Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series
Memory: 8G
Monitor Resolution: 1360x768 Its a Vizio TV with HDMI
Video Editor: Vegas 12 64bit
Game Problem: Everything
Video Type: Tried both

I've made sure all the drivers are up to date.

My problems are as follows:

I've tried recording The Elder Scrolls Online, but it wont record that game. Minecraft, America's Army Beta, Titanfall, DayZ and others record. When I do capture gameplay, for some reason my microphone doesn't record. Also, the software seem's to only capture 2-3 minutes of footage even though I record 10+ minutes. The videos aren't smooth and are very laggy and choppy

I've used Fraps with no problems at all so I would like to think its the software and not the hardware. Please help, thanks!

Common possibilities for these issues are:

Ur LIVE tab is enabled (disable it)
Perfect Video Match mode is enabled (disable it)
Mic selection is false if u're using many of 'em
Mic recing is set to "do not record"
U're recing to MP4 and not AVI
Ur recing time limiter is enabled (disable it)
Multichannel recing can cause some issues (i recommend disabling it too)

What audio device to you have set in Action! Audio Settings?

Try playing your video back in Windows Media Player if you have multi-channel recording on, as it is capable of playing back all audio tracks at once while the built-in Action media player isn't.

If you're not worried about being able to independently adjust the volume of your microphone when editing your video then you can just turn that setting off.

If you don't have multi-channel recording on, that it's some other problem.
