Editing and Audio Channels

Sun Dec 28, 2014 7:36 pm

So I desperately want to record YouTube videos with Action but there are two things that are stopping me, one greatly more noticeable than the other. The first, and most important one, is that the Mirillis codec doesn't agree with my editor (Lightworks). It removes sound, distorts everything and clips parts off. I understand that this can be fixed by using various converters etc. but I am a busy person and don't have time to wait around for it to re-render 3 times. I can deal with the export and the upload, that's it. Is there any way to easily and quickly fix this or if not, are there plans to export to more agreeable codecs in the future. The second is that there appears to be a bug that if you record the microphone to a separate track it simply deletes microphone input. I hope this can be rectified.

PC Specs.
Windows 8.1 64 Bit installation.
AMD A8-6500 APU with Radeon HD Graphics
AMD Radeon HD 8470 + 8570D Dual Graphics

That's a lightworks issue. One of the reasons I didn't pick Lightworks as a video editor is its lack of codec support. Even with the professional version it was dismal when I tried. Converting and rerendering are not a solution as it is a waste of time and a degradation of quality. If you want to do video game editing and YouTube uploading Lightworks is not the editor to use. I've seen Sony Vegas 12 go for $70, which is less than a lightworks 1 year subscription.
