Action! recording other players voices in my game

Wed Apr 01, 2015 4:56 am

I have a problem when I'm recording with my pals. I record games with my friend and speak through steam chat the problem is that action records my friends voices through steam and adds them to the gaming video.

Your Steam sounds goes through your sound card and it's considered as system sounds. There is no possibility to exclude sound from particular application.

You can also separate applications to use separate devices. This can be done several ways. Many USB headphones show up as both a digital and an analog devices. If you set your game to play through the analog and your friends voices to come through digital and set Action! to record the the analog only, you would hear your friends, but they would not be recorded. There are many other ways to do this, but that is how I do it.
