"Record microphone into separate audio track" corrupts video

Sun Jul 05, 2015 12:21 am

Hi!
Looked at hundred posts on forums (this also), sites, youtube, etc. It is look like a very common problem but there are no fixes in internet that helped me to solve it.

Here is my problem and an easy way to reproduce it:
1. Install all codecs needed (I prefer K-lite), Action! and Sony Vegas 13 / Movie Studio 13.
2. Turn "Record microphone into separate audio track" option off.
3. Play any game and capture video via Action!.
4. Turn "Record microphone into separate audio track" option on with microphone connected.
5. Play any game and capture video via Action! one more time.
6. Open Sony Vegas 13 / Movie Studio 13 and add both captured video there.
7. Notice that video from #3 has one video channel and one audio channel.
8. Notice that video from #5 has two audio channels but does not have video channel at all.

Isolation:
Happens with both MP4 and AVI formats in both Application and Active screen modes.
Happens with both Vegas 13 and Movie Studio 13.

All internet advices that I found did not work:
-Reinstalling Action! and Movie Studio 13.
-Deleting/Reinstalling/setting up different codecs individually and in combination k-lite pack/ffdshow/lav/quicktime/etc.
-Adding/Removing different files/plugins to Sony Vegas (compoundplug, qt7plug).

P.S.
Hope you will fix this bug soon.
I think after it will be fixed, combination of Action! with microphone recording into separate audio track + Sony Movie Studio 13 will be a perfect way to record gameplay footage with commentary on Youtube.

Thanks,
Sergey
