Hello!
I would like to post my email to the techincal support to this forum aswell. Maybe some others are experiencing similiar issues and it might help in resolving it for us sooner, aswell as providing more insight into what could be cause of the problem.
First of all I would like to express my love of your recording software, it was a great buy and one of the best on the market. Unfortunately tough, after a few hours of use, I have encountered some serious issues and am unable to use it anymore.
The problem goes as follows:
After buying the software today, I have tested it and was streaming with it, using the game capture mode (AMD APP acceleration, the reason partly why I choose this software). The game I recorded and streamed to Twitch, was Wargame:Red Dragon, a program that some recorders have trouble hooking into, unlike Action!.
It worked flawlessly on my fresh install of Windows 10 x64 machine.
The problems began a few hours later and have resolved again, after a reinstall of Action!, with the removal of all registry entries and whatsoever.
Unfortunately tough, after a computer restart, the issues have resurfaced.
The facts are the following:
• After starting streaming from the game, using AMD APP game capture, the stream begins, but ceases transmission in 15-20 seconds. At the same time, Action! crashes/closes itself without any error messages. The Action! UI closes aswell around the same time.
• Sometimes the game freezes/hangs up at the same time of Action! crashing.
• There are no clear beginning of these symptoms. After both fresh Action! installs, the sofware worked flawlessly for hours. After the system restart however, the problems have resurfaced.
• Recording still works without apparent problem. It is the streaming function which eventually causes Action! to crash/game to hang up.
• After such a hangup, the short, corrupted recording of the stream is produced.
• Before the symptoms first began, I have turned Xbox Windows 10 app off. Changed the default monitor calibration profile and installed Space Engineers. The latter which had conflicts with Xbox app (hence the shutting down of the former). It has caused a Windows hangup, and Windows startup hangups, where I had to power off computer eventually. These problems resolved tough and the second time, after I’ve reinstalled Mirillis, it seemed to work perfectly despite the earlier Windows troubles, just until the next System restart after the Mirillis install.
What I have tried already:
• Antivirus software (Kaspersky) is properly set up and does not interfere with the program. Made no difference.
• Reinstalling worked for once, but after the System restart, the problems resurfaced.
• Every driver is up to date in theory.
• I have tried disabling the steam overlay, aswell as blocking its hooking in Mirillis, by the txt file. No effect.
• I have tried turning off and on the Xbox overlay-application present in Windows 10. Apparently no effect.
• I have turned the „Allow multi channel recording” of audio on once, just before the symptoms resurfacing, however turning it off, did not help with the problem, so it is probably unrelated.
• I have tried turning off HDD recording of the streaming. No effect.
• Ran in administrator in general, etc.
• Tried turning off Logitech G15 keyboard Mirillis application. No effect.
• I have tried streaming with lower quality settings. No effect.
• I have thorougly checked my internet connection. It is working perfectly, as it was demonstrated before, when Mirillis worked and streamed as it is supposed to be.
My desktop computer specifications in general:
• AMD FX-6330 six core CPU
• AMD Radeon HD 7870 2Gb SAPPHIRE GHz Edition
• 8 GB DDR3 – a single memory module
• SAMSUNG EVO NEO 840 SSD + 2 HDD
• SAMSUNG SynchMaster Full HD display, used on 1080p resolution. – This is the only display.
My DxDiag file: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/105 ... DxDiag.txt
It is worth to note, that I have an SSD, with pagefile set to 200 MB start – 2500 MB max, if that makes a difference. I also have Mirillis installed on this SSD, with recording saved to a traditional HDD.
I hope you can find me help a solution to this. Having experienced the program work flawlessly with the AMD APP before and streamed with it for a while without trouble, I am much looking forward to using it again and I am really sad, that I am encountering such errors.
Please let me know what could be the cause of the problem or possible solutions to it!
Looking forward for your asnwer!
Best regards!
