Can I not download action to a different drive?

Mon Nov 14, 2016 12:49 pm

It automatically installs to my C drive which is not good since that drive only has 100 gb of space (my ssd), but my other drive (hdd) has 1 tb of space, and since most videos I make are extremely large, it would take up a ton of space in my ssd, and I don't want that. So is it possible to change the location that action is downloaded to?

Hello! There is no need for that. You'd better install Action on the SSD, and just make it save files on the hard drive! You can change the default folder of saved videos in the settings, it's much better that way. Action itself is very small in size, doesn't hurt an ssd! :D

Installation under the "Program Files x86" directory is required by Action! to allow recording of standard desktop screen as well as UAC popup screens and windows logon screen. It is also required by Remote Action! to allow remote control of the desktop in windows logon and UAC secure desktop screen.
