PC Specification: Windows 10 Home, i5-2500, Nvidia GTX 660

active desktop region is not recording

Update: Uninstalling 2.3 and installing 2.8 solved the issue.


Recording the active desktop region is no longer working. Last used it some Months ago.

I can select a region but when I press the record icon nothing happened. Also Screenshot Icon did not work.

I experimented with the resolution and snap-icon and NOW if I start Action! and go to the active desktop I dont even see the recording region anymore!

1. How to reset the settings so I can see the recording region?
2. How to record with active desktop again?

Recording the whole desktop with F9 works, also OpenGl/DirektX works.

Please try following steps below to completely re-install Action. You will need your serial number to activate your product again.
1. Uninstall Action!
2. Press Start and then type "Regedit" in search and press Enter.
3. Go to the following path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Mirillis/
4. Remove Action! catalog.
5. Reboot your PC.
6. Install Action! again. Make sure that your installer file comes from official website - www.mirillis.com (if you have not purchased Action! through Steam).
You can activate Action! with the same serial number as before.

These steps should restore your Action! settings to default.
