Noise Gate & Audio Quality

Sun Nov 08, 2020 7:35 pm

So I just upgraded from win7 to win10 and I noticed that with the same settings, my audio quality with the noise gate on win10 is significantly worse.

The drivers are all up to date, there's nothing really that I can think of that could cause this?

My mic and settings are pretty much the same.

The audio quality returns completely after the noise gate is disabled, but as soon as at least a little bit is enabled, it goes to worse quality than with win7. If anything, it should have at least remained the same??

Any ideas?

What noise reduction value do you use? Start from -60 dB and increasae it till you get satisfying results.

I was always using -50 for my gate, but between Win7 and Win10 the sound quality is noticeably different (win7 is better). Any ideas what could be causing this?
