Can we have time-shift to be used for Screen and Window mode? Surely this is easy to implement?

Make the Action! video player scalable by following the Action! user interface size option because right now it's extremely small on a 4k monitor.

Instead of using a hotkey, I would prefer to be able to double click the preview to make it full screen and to close it.

Lastly, sound support from the preview screen would be amazing especially in the Device mode.

Thank you!

Can we get more profile options for hardware codecs like NVENC? So far the only options available is baseline (i know this bcs i use MediaInfo occasionally). While i understand that baseline is used for recovery from file corruption, the extremely rare instances when it has happened to me - and by this i mean once or twice during the 10+ years that i've used Action - it has never succeeded in doing it. Any chance u can add higher quality H.264 profiles like main or even high? I would highly appreciate that (no pun intended).

Also bcs of this, i prefer using the HEVC (H.265) for higher quality. At least for now.

While i can understand some peeps argue that why not use other programs then, like Shadowplay or OBS. The thing is, Action has all the features i want for now. Shadowplay lacks time duration which i think should be a standard these days. OBS lacks an in-game overlay which i think is absurd. Sure, multiple monitors, but not everyone can afford that.

Feature Request: Better Recording Profiles and Presets

Fri Apr 17, 2026 4:53 am

Hi everyone,

I’ve been using Action! for a while and really like its performance and ease of use. However, I think it would be very helpful to have more advanced recording profiles and presets. For example, being able to quickly switch between different setups (like high-quality recording, low file size, or streaming mode) without manually changing multiple settings each time.

It would also be great to save custom presets for resolution, FPS, bitrate, and audio settings, especially for users who frequently switch between games or recording types. This could make the workflow much faster and more convenient.

Overall, just adding a more flexible preset system would improve usability and save time for many users.
