Dark Colours and Saturation

Mon May 07, 2012 6:05 pm

Hey,
I've been test driving Mirillis's Action! Screen Recorder for a little over three months now, and I'm just sharing
what I've noticed when comparing Action! with some other screen recorders. (Fraps & Bandicam)

I recorded three videos playing MW2 Special Operation, Hidden. If you look at the comparison provided by the Mirillis Team at: http://mirillis.com/en/products/action_ ... tml#test-2

You see that Action has the most FPS and uses the least amount of storage/file size. Everything checks out when I compared them on my own PC, but at the cost of dark saturated colours after exporting. Action! does a great job in compressing the video into tiny files, but loses quality video. It looks fine at times, but when comparing to what I recorded on Fraps, there is a significant difference. The main point of this post is to ask if anyone else has had dark coloured videos after exporting from Action! I thought that it was the game I was playing so I tried recording Minecraft with the same results. I even tested out normal screen recording using Action! and Bandicam and noticed the same thing. The only possibility left is that my graphics card or my lack of hardware acceleration is diminishing the qaulity of my Action! recordings. :?

Have you tried to change Input Range in Video recording settings?
