Unable to record Minecraft in Fullscreen mode

Hi, I've been having problems with trying to record Minecraft when it is completely fullscreened. I can record the game when it is in windowed mode, but I want to be able to record in full 1080p, which cannot be achieved unless you are in fullscreen mode. I have recorded a video of the problem in question:

Notice that as soon as I press F11 to go into fullscreen mode, the game simply crashes. This happens absolutely every time. Please note that I made sure that F11 was not set as a hotkey in the hotkey settings of the program.

If you require my system specs:

Intel i.7 - 3.2 GHZ
AMD HD 6970 - 2 GB
Motherboard: Asus Rampage Extreme III
Windows 7 Ultimate, fully updated. (Note that I only installed windows about 3 days ago. This is an almost fresh copy of the OS)

Hope someone can shed some light on this.
