I've made quick test to test color accuracy. I've opened this image in image viewer, recorder it with Action!, played it back with ActionPlayer and made this screenshot.
So there are +- 1 errors (and also a bit of banding) due to RGB <-> YUV conversion. Since your decoder returns RGB32 (so it's doing this conversion by itself) you can switch to YCoCg colorspace. It has very simple coefficients (like 1/2 and 1/4), so it's fast and the main advantage: RGB <-> YCoCg is lossless (if 4:4:4 subsampling used, but with 4:2:0 it still more accurate).
P.s. btw, there you can see chroma aliasing, that's because I'm using Intel GPU - and it uses Nearest Neighbor algorithm for chroma upsampling. Splash Pro has same problem, but only when motion2 is active oO
P.p.s. also I can't get why I get no image with not system renderers (like EVR and VMR) - like
madVR (or Haali) in any player.

Hi vivan,
The chroma aliasing problem will only occur in Action! Player when the GPU uses nearest neighbour chroma interpolation. When playing raw Action! recordings (FICV) via the VFW decoder a more advanced chroma interpolation algorithm is used (not as advanced as GPUs hardware polyphase filtering but still gives much better results and chroma aliasing is reduced).

Hello Mirillish Team ! I have a big problem
First of all i just can't understand what to tick or not in audio settings, because everytime when i record games, they r recording fine but, when i load the recorded file into let's say Sony Vegas,in the TimeLine i have ONLY and ONLY 1 file with no audio.& when i press the play button for preview in Vegas, the video goes, but NO AUDIO
But the strange fact is that when i play the recorded file into BsPlayer or any video player,it goes like charm.Everything OK.
What is not working for me ? Should i change something ?
I have a VIA sound card, integrated. With Fraps i have no problem, only with Action.I dont want to give up on Action, cause it's a great app for recording, far better then Fraps but if my problem will continue, then i think i will give up on Action
And pls, pls, pls explain us those audio Options in Action, like what Record Silence means or what audio settings should we chose for games recording

Hi, did you experience this probem with previous 1.7.0 version?
Do you experience it with all games or only with some specific titles?

Please see the following topic where Watchman explains the problem:
http://www.mirillis.com/forum/viewtopic ... 36&t=14397
Please disable multichannel audio option and check if problem is solved.
We hope that Vegas will fix this problem soon.
Record silence option is dedicated to audio recording only mode.
With this option it is possible to perform audio recording even when no sound is played in Windows.

Hi there. I think that all is well in version 1.7 but the other day I had cut down the image (lag) ...
I have a problem with the game GRID (it is based on direcxt 9)
I do not know what is happening. Sometimes possible to record 5 minutes without lag, but then they appear, and so cuts down every 7-10 seconds.
Please help ... (btw. when I press "record" I've got 40 fps ... I do not know why, I have good parts in the pc, and this game is from 2007) Normally i have 100-80 Fps

Character voices probably coming from the center channel.
Here is workaround how to get multichannel recording in Action! 1.8 and then load in Vegas with audio and video.
Download and install XviD4PSP 5 from here:
http://www.videohelp.com/tools/XviD4PSP
Capture screen with Action! with multichannel enabled.
Load captured AVI file into XviD4PSP 5, select AVI as output, set video and audio to "copy", encode as new AVI file.
It does not re-encode when you set to "copy". You just get new re-muxed AVI file with original captured video and audio quality and can load it into Vegas for editing.
