Action! cannot put deleted files in your Recycle Bin, that's why you are asked in pop-up window if you are sure that you want to delete your videos permanently.

I just did the same thing :x . I selected a couple of files and clicked the X. Ok, I admit I should have read the popup precisely (I thought I was confirming to delete all selected files). But come on.. Who puts "delete all" button and not just "delete selected".. I just lost about 1TB of video files which were like 3 weeks worth of recordings of my Battlefield 3 games which I was about to edit... I'm trying to recover them but so far I only recovered one small file.

Clearly I'm not the only one who found this to be an issue so go ahead, take the feedback and get rid of that stupid button..

We are going to remove the "Delete all" button in next version due too much confusion.

Is there still any plans to remove the delete all button at this point?

Radi said in 2012 that it would be removed, and it's still there. The fact that it asks you before hand should not matter, because it does that for both the deletion of individual files, as well as the grouped and "delete all" options. The fact alone that it's placed where any other program would place the "delete selected" option is confusing enough, and nobody's going to want to read through every time they accidentally hit record, and just want to rid themselves of the scrap file.

I've lost hours upon hours of files at this point, and even though I love every other feature of this program, the fact that I can't be sure if the time spent will accumulate to anything at the end of a recording session is leaving me wanting to hunt for a different piece of recording software.

We are in 2015 and it seems that Mirillis is not considering going back with this despicable option.
I just got a new mouse, and it is not well calibrated and I am not used to it yet.

I clicked by mistake, since it moves faster than my old mouse, and voila! all my work to the sewer....

Please erase, eliminate, terminate, destroy, erase this dreadful and, from my point of view, utterly useless option.

Sure you say there is a confirmation screen, but in my case, I thought I was erasing ONE video, which I believe requires that confirmation screen as well.

It is easy enough to click the different videos you want to erase if you want to erase more than one.

Thank you, and excuse the rant, but soooo many hours of work just went down the drain. Not to mention that they are irreplaceable, for they have random characteristics I cannot duplicate.

I was deleting a junk video when I accidentally hit the "Delete all files" button, and had 2 weeks worth a recording on it. Is there any way I can get these videos back

Unfortunately no, however this option has been removed in one of the recent versions.
