Epic fail

Wed Sep 19, 2012 7:07 pm

So, I was using this program. It's great, I had the trial. Then, my program completely stopped letting me record anything, so I went and purchased it thinking it would fix the problem. It didn't. Awesome, then I had to make an account on here, jump through thousands of loops just to post on this website. Completely regret buying this program. I uploaded a picture of what my Action! looks like. I press f9 to start recording, nothing happens. I try it in all 3 settings. Doesn't work on full-game mode, "chosen" window mode, or simply desktop. Windows 7, 800gb hdd, 6gb ram. 4 core processors. AMD Radeon(TM) HD 6620G with 4gig memory left. 64-bit. I dunno what other kind of information you guys want, but I'm really pissed off that I bought some sh~t that doesn't even work. Don't get me wrong though, the program WAS great. Assistance please.

This immediately sounds like an issue with your install of Windows than Action, so adjust your tone and stay calm whilst you contact the support team.

It used to work, like 2 days ago. so I highly doubt it's a windows problem.

I had it once and I can guarantee it was something with windows. Luckily I was about to reinstall it and I never had the problem again, most likely because I'm trying to keep it bloatware free as much as I can but at the same time I test a lot of applications.

I know I had few instances where Action! shows "Recording" but it isn't and I can't do anything, but restarting windows usually fixed it.

If your attitude is that of "I can have done nothing wrong" then it's almost 100% your fault, that's computers are, garbage in garbage out.

But back to the problem. Did you install anything during these two days before Action! stopped working? This may be even a small update like graphic drivers.

If you have the time & energy, I have an old school fix.

Factory restore your system. Once OS re-install is complete, update everything. I.e. Windows update, DirectX, anti-virus etc. After everything is done install Action! and it'll work.

That worked for me when I had a similar problem.

Return to “Action! Screen and Game Recorder”
