Hi,

Like the title said, i have some problem with my microphone.

First, i'm really interested with Mirillis Action! software and i'm using the trial version before thinking buying it.
But, during a video test recording, i had an issue with my microphone. It's working great with other software and i can use it with the audio recording in action! software but it doesn't work for the video recording...

It still record the system sound but only this one.

Is it a limitation from the trial ?

Thanks in advance.

Do you use recording microphone into separate audio track feature? Is your audio device in Audio Settings the same one that you are trying to record?

I tried with activating the option for separate audio track feature and without !
And yes, it's the same Audio setting for the audio recording than for the video one. I tried to test both video and audio recording after changing something but no luck so far...

And i really don't know why.

Hi !

I solve the problem finally !

First, i manage to redo all the connection for my headset and i had to re-install the sound driver again. No luck for using action so far but i solved one of my problem for long time ago. So i tested it again with action! and i done all the test for all the settings (almost) so far and it didn't work when the option "Switch microphone recording to a second track (AVI)" was check in settings -> sound settings.

(sorry for the English translation of the options, i got mine in french)

And now it's working if i uncheck it !
Now i will have to verify if it still works if i check the option in video recording as "Allow multi-channel recording" !

EDIT : Test for the option "Allow multi-channel recording". It's working great ! Perhaps just need to wait a few seconds before starting to speak, just in case.

Hope my problem my help others and the devs to look why there is a bug !

Bye

If you are using record microphone into separate audio track function you need to know that you have to switch between these audio paths in Action! player. Action! player plays only one audio path at time. To switch between them you have to press "A".

If your microphone is not working, there can be a variety of reasons. Let's troubleshoot:

1. Hardware Check:

Ensure your microphone is properly connected to your computer.
If you're using an external microphone, test it on another device to see if it works there.
2. Check Your Operating System Settings:

Windows:

Right-click on the speaker icon in the taskbar, then select "Open Sound settings" or "Sounds".
Under the "Input" section, make sure the correct microphone is selected.
Check the microphone volume levels and test the microphone.
If you can't see the microphone, click on "Manage sound devices" and make sure the microphone is enabled.
Mac:

Go to "System Preferences".
Click on "Sound".
Go to the "Input" tab and ensure your desired microphone is selected.
Check the input volume and test your microphone.
3. App-Specific Settings:

Some applications have their own microphone settings. Make sure the right microphone is selected and it's not muted. Common apps with these settings include Zoom, Skype, Discord, etc. you can aso check your microphone at mictest.co
4. Driver Issues (mostly applicable to Windows):

If you're on Windows, outdated or incompatible drivers can cause issues.
Right-click the "Start" button and open "Device Manager".
Look for "Audio inputs and outputs".
Right-click on your microphone and select "Update driver".
Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software" and follow the prompts.
5. Privacy Settings:

Ensure the operating system and the application you're using have permissions to access the microphone.

Windows:

Go to "Settings".
Select "Privacy".
Click on "Microphone" and ensure apps are allowed to access the microphone.
Mac:

Go to "System Preferences".
Click on "Security & Privacy".
Go to the "Privacy" tab and click on "Microphone". Ensure the relevant apps have permission to use the microphone.
6. Check for Physical Damage or Obstructions:

Make sure there's no dust, dirt, or physical damage affecting the microphone.
7. Try Restarting Your Computer:

Sometimes a simple restart can resolve hardware or software glitches.
If you've tried these steps and still face issues, please provide more details about the type of microphone, your operating system, and the software or application you're using, and I'll try to assist you further!
