Recording with Intel Quick Sync Video crashes games

Wed Feb 27, 2013 12:55 pm

I have followed this tutorial to setup Intel Quick Sync Video with Action!: http://mirillis.com/en/products/tutoria ... ktops.html

However, all the games I try to record in crash when stopping the recording - the screen simply freezes, and I have to go to task manager to close the game.

These are my PC specifications:

Windows 7 Service Pack 1 64bit
AsRock Extreme3 Gen3
i7-2600k @ 3.40Ghz
8GB Ram @ 1600Mhz
ASUS GTX670 2GB
Intel HD Graphics 3000

Recording in AVI works fine, but I really would like to be able to record in mp4 format using Intel Quick Sync Video for smaller file-sizes, I'm hoping you guys can help me out here.

I couldn't find any logs files to better understand the problem.

I have now bought Action! and updated to 1.13.2 but I am still experiencing the same issue. Both my videocard and intel hd graphics drivers are up to date.

I have already contacted support, they told me to update to the latest version which did not help.

I have the latest video card and intel HD graphics drivers.

No it didn't.

I have re-installed my Windows and fully updated it and all other drivers, it does work now.

There is one slight issue though, when dragging a recorded file from Action! into Sony Vegas only the audio clip shows up not the video. Yet, when playing the recorded file back with any media player it shows video, so I'm not sure what is up with that.

Could you provide us a sample file so we could try to reproduce your issue in our lab?

Yep, I will send you an PM. I think I am missing a codec or something a long those lines but I have no idea what. The strange thing is it worked before and I did not change any settings.
