I'm a little sad that the quality of QuickSync is so poor at times...
I get lots of blocks and some gradient errors

according to this guide it SHOULD be possible to get better quality with QS:

They talk about CABAC, that it should be enabled (dont know much about encoders and decoders) - and dont know if its possible to enable while capturing.

I hope that your are working on improvements were possible...

IF there are settings available for the QuickSync encoder, my wish would be that you would enable me to fiddle with them, using an ADVANCED tab in the program. Thereby i could experiment with the settings to get the optimal video quality.

In general I wish Action had much more video quality settings, both higher quality and also lower quality options to save filesize in certain usage scenarios.

btw... I would prefer 2x larger filesizes when using QuickSync, if it was perfect quality...

QuickSync MP4 is already 2x larger than x264 encoded videos... so 4x wouln't hurt that much.

FRAPS and AVI settings is too big though

Montago, quick question. Your feedback is about exporting or real-time recording?

realtime recording...

My feedback is also for realtime recording, specifically active desktop recording, where I would really like some even lower bitrate options. Video quality does not always have to be close to perfect, sometimes I just want to record long desktop sessions without using too much drive space.

I would love to see better quality with quick sync when recording games. I also got a slightly worse performance than recording normally...
