Feature Suggestion: Export MP4 files

Wed Mar 20, 2013 5:39 pm

Enable Export of MP4 files....

Exporting (or converting) files would be useful for people who don't want to use other programs to downscale or convert MP4 files...

example:
I record in 1080p60 but want to share my file, so i would like to export the file in 720p30 which require less bandwidth.

BTW: When exporting, it would be nice to choose destination !!!

Why not use the internal Export (convert) of Action! ?

Oh I see. It shouldn't be so hard to do, after all AVI and MP4 are different containers, extracting and reencoding shouldn't too far from a stretch to offer... indeed.

:P

What is the point to record something in 1080p60 in MP4 and then export it into 720p30 MP4 when you can actually record it directly to 720p30?

The point could be: I want to keep the best source for myself (1080p@60fps), while uploading a 720p@30fps version to friends or forums... ?

Splash PRO EX support exporting from MP4 to MP4. If you would like to get mentioned 720p30 you choose Apple Ipad2 profile.
