Limit or cap the framerate, set maximum fps? For games

Sun Mar 31, 2013 3:24 pm

Is there any way to cap or limit the maximum framerate/fps like MSI Afterburner can?

EDIT: For games, even when not recording.

You can set the following framerate for video recording: 60,50,30,25,24,20,15.

I meant for the game itself, not the recording.

Action! is not limiting game FPS and we are not planning similar feature.

Yes, when you recording with Action Mirillis, game fps are not fixed, they depend your configuration.
On Minecraft i turn on 200-500 fps when i using Action Mirillis & all depend my stuff :geek:

Yes but as my monitor only has a refresh rate of 60 Hz there's no point in my videocard going over it (and some game menus and entire games like GRAW2 will try to render 200+ fps and nearly melt down your videocard), also it keeps the framerate divisible by two (thus into 30) as much as possible.

MSI Afterburner can do this and it would be a nice feature to have in Action!

Then turn on Vsync in your games and it will cap the framerate, so if you have a 60Hz monitor your FPS will be max 60.
