Recording dpecific area failed.

Tue May 21, 2013 6:17 pm

Ok so I set up to record a specific area on my second screen, I was trying to record a live streambut as I say on my second screen the area selected was shown as red and was in the right place on the screen and at no point did what was inside that box change.
However when i tried to view it back although the sound was captured fine the image what what ever I was looking at on my first screen. It still captured the correct size but not the area I had it sat over the top of.

I hope that makes sense If you need more info please let me know and I will be happy to post it.

Did you switch Active Screen to your second monitor? F8 hotkey is for switching between active screens. Desktop Region will pick up the screen where the HUD is blue, not gray,

No not something I knew I needed to do I assumed it would record what was inside the region box.

Its probably a good idea to make this more apparent to the end user as once you click region it doesn't tell you and there is nothing when you go to select region either.

I do see the tooltip that says active desktop region but to me both screens are my active desktop.
