Need help with Battlefield 3

Thu Jun 27, 2013 2:22 am

My PC runs Battlefield 3 perfectly and that doesn't change when I'm recording. After I'm done, I watch the video in Action! and it looks as good as it does on my PC, but in Windows Media Player, it skips frames. And it even worse in Sony Vegas 11. I tried converting the .avi file into a .mp4 and that fixed the spikking frames in WMP, but in Sony Vegas I have to keep the preview quality to preview. If I set it any higher it creates a blur. Can someone help me? I bought Action! just for Battlefield 3, and I'm kind of regretting it. Also, what file do I use when I'm rendering for 1080p quality?

Was your AVI file skipping frames in Action! player? Maybe WMP and Sony Vegas can't handle such an intensive bitrate.

Open your video file in Action! player and press "i" an info panel should appear. Check what the bitrate is.

I have a 3770k and also skips frames in some players like Media Player Classic (GPU player) ...

But that never happens in VLC (CPU player)

I believe it's because the output from Action is a very dirty AVI/MP4..

May I suggest reencoding the file using handbrake using fixed framerate (web optimized) ... It will most likely solve your problem.

Return to “Action! Screen and Game Recorder”
