Recording with intel quicksync is locking my frame rate

Thu Jul 04, 2013 11:26 am

Whenever I am in arma 2 games and I record in 1080p using Intel quick sync it locks my frames from 60 fps down to 30. When I stop recording my frames go back up to 60. For some reason when recording with Action it locks my arma 2 frame rate to 30. Why is this happening?

What framerate do you have in Video Recording tab?

Its set to 30 fps.

If I set 60fps and the game fps drops below that say 40's at points the video records all jerky and fails sometimes. But by setting 30fps in action it limits my game fps in any arma 2 mod or game.

Also I would like to add that unless I set action as a priority thread under task manager the videos often jump in places. I am using an intel i5 @ 3.8 ghz per core, 8gb memory and NVidia 670.

You are wrong..

Action doesn't lower your framerate.. it records at the framerate you specify.

If you experience framerate drops it's because some drivers or settings are wrong or not setup correctly.

I also experience what you talk about sometimes, but after overclocking my GPU, it's less visible.

Are you using virtu mvp ? Or the fake monitor trick ?
