Intel Quick Sync Recording Crashes

Hi there, i recently followed your tutorial for recording with Intel Quick Sync Technology, before i start here's my system specs:

AsRock z77 Pro3 (with latest BIOS and HD4000 Graphics Drivers)
iGPU (Intel Quick Sync is Activated in BIOS)
i7-3770K @ 3.5 Ghz
8GB DDR3 @ 1333 Mhz
HD 6970 DirectCU
Windows 7 x64 SP1

Monitors:
Main Display: Samsung SyncMaster T240 at 1920*1200 @ 60 Hz (Connected to my ATI GPU)
Secondary Display: Random 17" CRT at 1600*1200 @ 60 Hz (Connected to HD4000 GPU)

When i start mirillis, i see the Video File Format as MP4 (Intel Quick Sync Video) and in the options (export settings) i still have intel quick sync for Hardware Accel.

Everything seems to work fine, but when i start recording (desktop or in-game) i have this problem:

It starts recording normaly without problems, but when i stop recording the image freezes and i need to either reboot or log off (and afterwards the video file is corrupted, can't even watch it);

I'v formated my PC, installed everything from scratch downloaded and isntalled a bunch of codec packs and still get the same problem.

I also tried to connect both displays to my ATI card and the result is exactly the same.

What am i doing wrong?

Ps.: I'v tried with and without Virtus Software (both Green and MVP versions latest versions) and still no results.

Thank you for your time.

I found a solution and was really dissapointed to find out that intel quick sync recording is actually a lot slower than regular AVI format.

Here's what i did:

Installed OLD drivers for the HD4000: Win64_15313.exe (http://downloadmirror.intel.com/22605/a ... _15313.exe) and intel quick sync recording was working with mirillis.

BUT sony vegas would crash at startup, every time due to GPU Hardware Accell, to fix this i also installed old drivers from ATI (12.10 - http://www2.ati.com/drivers/12-10_vista ... l_net4.exe).

And problem solved, i finnaly could record in MP4 using Intel Quick Sync option AND import those files to sony vegas without any problems.

But when i record with Intel Quick Sync mp4 format i get really low frame rates and the resolution isnt right, i play at 1920*1200 and yet the video file res is: 1740*1086.

Another issue is that when i import the MP4 file to sony vegas, the microphone sound isnt in a seperate track, even though its selected. if i alt+tab and select AVI format recording and record a portion of the game, when i import that AVI file to sony vegas, i have 3 tracks (video, audio and mic).

So my question is:

Why must i install out dated drivers from both ATI and Intel to get this working with no problems and why do i have such low frame rate and why isn't the mic audio portion on a sepperate track?

Cheers

EDIT: looks like when i play in windowed i dont get frame drops... :O

Separate audio tracks works only for AVI.
