Steam HUD issue

Hi guys,
recently some users reported that sometimes Action! is blocking their Steam Overlay. By analyzing lots of reports our support team came up with a solution. Please check if it works for you.

In one of previous Action! versions we've added a simple feature that allows you to exclude specific applications so Action! will simply ignore them.

One of Steam processes when you are running your Steam game is "GameOverlayUI.exe". Add this process to your exclude list. If you don't know how to add files to exclude list go to our tutorial here: http://mirillis.com/en/products/tutoria ... t.html#top

Let us know if that works. Your feedback is appreciated.

Edit:
One of our users confirmed that "gameoverlayui.exe" works for Win 8 x64.

Doesn't work for me. Still have no steam overlay with following scenario:
1. Start Action!.
2. Start Steam.
3. Start Half-Life 2.

Observe no steam overlay until exit from Action! and re-start Half-Life 2.

OS: Windows 8 x64

I'm having either this same issue or a different one when launching Steam games. I have tried the suggestion about adding a text file and adding GameOverlayUI.exe to the list but I still get a crash when launching games.

My scenario is.... I have Action! running, I open Steam and launch a game. Then my computer hangs with a black screen. I have to force quit the game, quit action, restart the game, exit to the desktop, reopen Action! then it works. Strangely sometimes when I have this problem I have to Alt/Tab to the desktop, run task manager force quit the game then the game immediately runs and Action! runs correctly even though I just force quit the game. I don't have this problem when running games using Origin (BF3, Crysis etc.)

Any help with this admin and it would be a big help to an aggravating issue.

I add the process "gameoverlayui.exe"to your exclude list and didnt fixed the issue.

My specs:
Windows 8 Enterprise 64-bit´
Intel Core i7 3630QM
Intel HD Graphics 4000
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M
8,00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz

If someone need some feedback about a specific steam game i have here my library list which i can download and test the mirillis action performance:
http://steamcommunity.com/id/lodanz/games?tab=all

The steam games i tested to record so far were:
Killing Floor
Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition
Hotline Miami
Dark Souls

The game crashed exactly in moment i press f9 to record those games, then action did crashed itself.

Or for example steam overlay doesn't work in Dishonored if Action! started. If I quit Action! and re-start game steam overlay appears. I have added both gameoverlayui.exe and GameOverlayUI.exe to exclude.txt - still not help...

If Action! started GameOverlayUI.exe doesn't even executed after I start Dishonored (I monitor Task Manager)...

radi, do you need some additional information? Logs, Action! settings etc?
This bug is very annoying.... :(

Well, if Steam HUD works properly when you run Action! as second app after Steam it may mean that Action! and Steam gets confused while trying to plug into the same process at the same time.

Can I block Skype using this feature? Like if I only want the game's audio (some of my friends will never shut up) I can simply add Skype to the ignore list and it will be ignored? Or is it entirely UI based?
