Youtube HD Export???

Hello,
I've recently bought Action software and I have to say the recording quality is superb but the problem I'm having is when I try to upload directly to YouTube through the built in export feature. I've been using the YouTube HD as my output file, my file type is avi and at 1920*1080p, the clip is about 4gb in size and only 2 minutes long. I would really appreciate some help here as I've been pulling my hair out all day as I've only just purchased action. I've also tried converting the raw avi files to h.264 with a converter program and then trying to upload that file to YouTube through my browser but I'm still having no luck as YouTube wont convert the file type. I've also tried recording using mp4 at 720p but the YouTube export feature still wont work and even if it did the video quality isn't really what i was hoping for, I also tried switching GPU coding off in case that tripped something but I just keep getting the same error message in Action that says 'upload failed'.
Any help would be awesome!
