How do I record in Multi Channel?

So when I use Action and record with multi channel it doesn't and I don't know how if someone could send me a video link on how to do it or explain it to me that would be great. I edit with Sony Vegas Pro 12! (BTW I record with friends on skype and things so if I can record skype and the game and mic all in a multi audio tracks I would love that!)
