Hello! Is there a way for me to record my microphone onto the same file as the video so that I don't have to use a video editor to combine them?

It's a default feature.

Okay. I noticed it doesn't work when I don't select the default choice of microphone and/or speakers. By leaving it unspecified it started working. It didn't work before even if the "record on separate track" was not selected. Problem fixed now. Just posting incase someone ends up having the same problem as me.
