Action no longer working, help please!

I recently updated from windows 8 pro to windows 8.1 pro and have found I am unable to use Action successfully.
Previously I had an issue where when I attempted to record a video(all formats) the recording timer would stay at 00:00 and the program would not do anything. I fixed this by enabling compatibility for windows 7 in the properties of action.

I am now having an issue where when I stop recording everything will freeze and all I am able to do is move the cursor around. I have to manually press the off button in order to fix this.

I have tried uninstalling & re installing multiple times, using 2 different versions of action as well as cleaning out my registry files.

Windows 8 pro 64bit
Action 1.16.3.0

Has anyone else had this issue and been able to fix it?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Tried emailing support a few days ago, got a MAILER-DAEMON email a day later saying that my message was unable to be delivered.
Email address was copied & pasted from mirillis contact info, so was definitely correct.

I shall try and send another email I suppose >.>

What was the reason your e-mail address was not deliver? Have you tried using another account to contact our support team? A Gmail one should be okay.
