YouTube HD

Fri Feb 21, 2014 12:08 pm

I tried uploading video on YouTube. I recorded about 30 minute game time and when I try to upload it, it just converts the video to mp4 and then kept saying upload failed. But when I do a test video for 30 seconds it always work.

So I'm wondering does youtube hd doesn't work for big files that's why it won't upload?

And if I have to manually do it like go to youtube and do the uploading, will it work?

Also does anyone here records league of legends game?

What's the best setting? 30 or 60 GPS? 30 40 50 bit rate? Resolution?

I have alienware 14 and had a resolution of 720 only

Make sure that you did not lost your internet connection during uploading. It's also recommended to check if Action! Internet access is somehow not blocked by firewall or anti-virus software.

How do I know if my firewall or anti virus is not blocking it?

And also I kinda doubt that it is my firewall because every time I export my 30 minute game, from avi it converts to mp4 but fail upload right after the convert is done. And when I do a test video of 20 seconds long video. It converts from avi to mp4 and right after that I loads and actually go through uploading to youtube.

So I was wondering if action just can't handle big file uploads in YouTube?

There's two possible problems/fixes for this.

#1 ~ Make sure that you are authorized by YouTube to upload videos longer than 15 minutes. Because of the fact that you are using Actions build in uploader, you may not be receiving all the notifications you normally would from YouTube

You can check of you are authorized to do so by going here: https://www.youtube.com/features, logging in, and going down to the option that says "Longer videos."

#2 ~ Try exporting the file as HD (high profile) and then going to http://youtube.com/upload, logging in, and dragging the file into the upload box. This may also work.

Return to “Action! Screen and Game Recorder”
