New open file/folder dialog

Fri Feb 28, 2014 7:18 pm

I have a problem with the new dialog: There is no way of choosing a network-source. With the old dialog i could do something like "\\Networkdevice\Folder" - Now i can only choose local drives. This is definitely a step back for me since i use a NAS to stream my videos to.

I am still able to do it by adding that network source as a network-drive within windows (so it gets a drive letter), but it would be good if there is at least a way of enter a custom path! Please consider this for the next Version.

I never understood the reason behind putting a custom file-selection menu in a program anyway, since the one from Windows works just perfect.

Other than that: Thank you for that great recording program, i really like it :)

I found out, that it is possible to add a custom file-path into the registry (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mirillis\Action) but then Action only records a few seconds and than it crashes (there is only a very small video file left).

I have another question: is it possible to set another path than the c-drive vor export? I have an SSD and its not big enough to hold a video - so Action keeps complaining about not enough space on C... Export is pretty much useless for me :(

Any USB external drive (2.0) work.

I use a USB 3.0 (Samsung d3 3TB) Its very nice for 1080p@60 videos.
