Nvidia CUDA or Intel Quick Sync? Both?

Fri Mar 14, 2014 8:29 am

So, I have been using Nvidia CUDA as the hardware acceleration. But I am recording with the Intel Quick Sync MP4 format. Does that mean that it is using both of those things for double the speed/less impact? Or is it only using the CUDA/Quick Sync? Hopefully someone can answer me.

I think it only uses Intel Quick Sync. CUDA is the acceleration in ur GFX card and Intel Quick Sync comes from the motherboard itself as integrated GFX. Quick Sync has a lower impact on performance and is supposed to be more "recording-friendly" for that matter.

It only use IQS. Only Intel Quick Sync provides a possibility to compress the video in real-time.
