Want to buy, but no 1080p/original with MP4?

Hey Mirillis' Staff!

I've been checking out the trial version of Action, and it's pretty nice; however, do you plan on adding the original/1080p video sizes to the standard MP4 file format (non-Intel quick sync)?

My processor is a Sandy Bridge 2600k (which supports quick sync); however, my motherboard is a Saberooth P67 board -- to my understanding, it's "impossible" to use Quick Sync with P67 motherboards .

Recording a full screen game in mp4/720p degrades the image quality. I can use AVI, but would prefer to record straight to MP4 for follow-up editing.

Let me know if you need further details,

-Pie

I thought that Quick Sync came in with the Ivybridge generation of chips.
I do not believe your CPU supports it at all.

The issue with recording in mp4 is that there is a rather big hit on the CPU and the quality vs performance would be very subpar. Sure I think they COULD add the option but I think it would also just result in a million and one people complaining about the performance on the web and on these forums.

Sowwie.

Hey Pixel, thanks for taking the time to reply -- I appreciate it (:

I do believe the 2600k processor itself supports QuickSync, as it is shown on Intel's website:

Granted that still is little help to me seeing as I'm running a P67 board, lol.

A shame about the Mp4 recording; although I understand the concern about performance. Time will tell I suppose if there's some type of work around.

Thanks again for your input!
